Broken Head – Byron Bay – NSW – Australia

This is Broken Head, New South Wales, Australia. I have been to Byron so many times over the years but this was the first time I had been to this area. Such a stunning location. Below are pictures I took over 2 different days but similar in their beautiful sunny weather. On each of the days I was greeted with dolphins, surfers, crystal clear water, stunning colours and so much more.

One of the most popular parts of Byron is around the lighthouse. When up at the lighthouse looking south you can see a long beach called, Tallow. At the end of Tallow is where you find Broken Head. It’s a short drive or a fairly long walk.

In the last picture you can see a large area of bait fish which had attracted a group of dolphins. The dolphins were incredibly close to the shore line feeding off the fish. Literally meters from land! They continually fed off the fish and were surfing in the waves, making sure they did a quick turn in the wave to stop them ending up on the sand. They were also joined by a groups of diving birds, local surfers and swimmers. It turned into quite the circus and was incredible to watch.

I hope you enjoy the photos at much as I did capturing them. Please feel free to comment and share the post with friends who might also like it. ❤ TriView
